Objectives

Mentoring Cell

The Academic Support and Mentoring Cell at CITNC is established to provide comprehensive academic guidance, personal mentoring, and student support services that foster academic excellence and holistic development. The cell serves as a bridge between students and the institution, ensuring that students receive timely guidance, encouragement, and assistance in achieving their academic and career goals.

All faculty members are assigned the work of mentorship. The cell assigns a batch of 20 students to each faculty mentor to monitor their academic progress, attendance, participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, and overall well-being. Through regular interactions, mentors identify students' strengths, address academic challenges, and provide appropriate guidance to enhance learning outcomes and personal growth. It is the responsibility of the mentor to maintain the record of the progress of their mentees.

The Academic Support and Mentoring Cell also facilitates academic counseling, career guidance, skill development, and motivational support. Special attention is given to students facing academic difficulties, enabling them to overcome challenges through personalized mentoring and remedial measures. The cell works closely with parents, faculty members, and academic administrators to create a supportive learning environment that promotes student success, professional competence, and responsible citizenship.

The primary objective of the cell is to nurture confident, competent, and socially responsible graduates by providing continuous academic support, mentoring, and guidance throughout their educational journey.

Overview of the Counselling Center

The Counseling Center at Cambridge Institute of Technology North Campus (CITNC) was established in 2021 with the vision of fostering the holistic development of students by addressing their social, emotional, and psychological well-being in addition to their academic growth.

Scope of Counselling Center

  • The center provides professional, confidential, effective, and easily accessible counseling services in a friendly and non-threatening environment.
  • It provides the valuable support system for faculty members and parents in addressing behavioral, emotional, and psychological concerns related to students.
  • The Counseling Center assists students in dealing with issues such as maladjustment, absenteeism, low self-esteem, lack of study skills, relationship concerns, addictions, stress management, and parental issues.
  • Promoting mental wellness and overall personality development.

The center is open from 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday and is in academic block ground floor left wing.
